Medical & Health Matters

Residents may continue to be looked after by your own G.P., provided the home is within the designated practice area. Should this not be the case, registration will be a dcoctor willing to accept residents onto his /her list. Twenty four hour medical cover is provided.

Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy & Speech Therapy are all available though a resident's G.P./N.H.S.

Dental Care is provided by a visiting Dental Surgeon.

Optical Care is provided by a visiting Optician.

Specialist Consultation & Domiciliary visits can be arranged via your own G.P.

Medications are provided by our local Pharmacist.

Social Workers visit the home regularly for a routine review of the residents.

Medical Supplies and Specialised Equipment are provided by the Home for all the requirements of nursing care.

Smoking is generally discouraged and is not permitted in the resident's rooms, in view of safety precautions. Those who wish to smoke may do so in designated areas only.

Illness - Our highly qualified staff are trained to provide both nursing care and sympathetic attention. They remain vigilant in all areas of health promotion and should an emergency arise, early detection and immediate medical referral are paramount within the home.

Special Diets are catered for to accommodate both personal taste and medical needs. Our kitchen staff always provide a large selection of nutritionally balanced meals.
