  • Monthly meet reminder notices

Do we still want or need the reminders which appear near the top of each forum page, telling us about, and linking to the thread for, the next monthly meet? It's a pain in the ass having to change it over every two weeks, given how few of us turn up each month now. Plus, we're all regulars, so except for Si and DJ, remember each month anyway

Let me know what you reckon.

I certainly don't. As with my model you don't have to have the bonnet up much lol

Right, I had a brainwave this morning. What I'm thinking of doing is making the reminder at the top of the page a permanent one, simply stating that the Norwich meet is the first Tuesday, and the Ipswich meet is the third Tuesday, and then have a link for each to a NEW permanent rolling thread for each meet. I won't any longer do a fresh new thread for each monthly meet - lets face it, nobody really posts on the monthly ones, and the details don't ever really change. For the half dozen or so of us who bother to turn up I think we know the arrangements by now!

                          Agree/disagree?
