this could be a good thing too. Manufactures are pulling out of things so they can still fund the research and tecnology to develop new cars etc it will be bad to see them go though

the whole "cult of Subaru" has been built purely on their success and profile in rallying, shame to see them go, along with Suzuki.
By my reckoning, that leaves just Ford and Citroen as manufacturer teams? As with the BTCC, where there's now only Vauxhall as SEAT have pulled out, the manufacturers are quitting in their droves. My only hope is that reduced budgets opens the way for more privateers to enter smaller teams.

I can't believe it, I just done the school run and had loads of people asking if I'd heard the news about Subaru. Even people I didn't know were asking me if it was true. I'm still in shock, WRC without Subaru is like a car with no engine Its not the government I blame for scaring the general public into thinking cars are evil it's the media and thier great global warming swindal.

It is a very sad day indeed, I have it on good authority that vauxhall wanted to pull out of the BTCC but for contractual reasons have chosen to stay for 2009. Lets hope that if/when Subaru return in 2010 that the car is a championship winner like it was meant to be this year then we can bring back the good'ol days

wow this is a real shame i'm so glad i saw them at the Rally GB this year and there was such a following of fans it is unfortunate when this happens.....can't imagine Man Utd/Chelsea pulling out of the Premiership!! not sure thats a reasonable comparison anyway lets hope they are back stronger in 2010....i have just cancelled my accommodation for next years Rally GB as the Subaru Team and their drivers are such a big part of going ......................
